- Sidewinder draws from 70's, 80's and early 90's rock from great glam and rock and roll bands such as Led Zeppelin, Poison, Mr. Big, and Alice in Chains among others. The band's sound is naturally guitar-heavy with instrumentals/solos over the place, yet complemented with precision chops, rocking basslines, and---a solid vocal section care of three of its members--undoubtedly the band's edge among the rest. THE NAME: Sidewinder is what we all agreed to be an in-between name; not too rock, not too blues nor jazz. We basically wanted a name that did not directly connote the kind of music we were into. Look it up though and you'll find out it's a rattlesnake. WHAT TO EXPECT LIVE: Heavy servings of Old School Rock and Roll and Glam sound, with a touch of Metal or Blues and a pinch of Soul or Jazz and a freakin good time!
