Greetings,

The local music industry is as strong as ever filled with creativity, dynamics and charisma by great local artist. All thanks to the undying efforts of producers, promoters, record companies, event organizers, radio stations and music lovers all over the country. However there is an undeniable thirst for new and fresh acts, a hunger for talent, a constant search for exciting musical venture.

With this said, I introduce you Sir/Ma’am, to Uniqa a rock/alternative band consisting of Steve Fortaleza - Bass, Gio Delmonte - Drums and Jake Moises - Guitar/Vocals. Currently unsigned and looking for a recording outfit to distribute their music.

Uniqa - tag-lish slang “unique ka” telling someone they are unique or different. “We wanted a band name that would sound local and original.”

Uniqa was formed in October 2007 Although not new in the underground music scene the members have done several gigs together. Formerly known as “Faileur” played for about a year or two and eventually changed the name due to friend’s comments and about the bands name sounding negative and inappropriate to the music. Uniqa’s sounds ranges from post grunge to modern metal and mainstream rock. Had a fair share of rock ‘n’ roll limelight making small crowds go crazy and shouting for MORE! Uniqa is all about creativity and passion, thriving for perfection whether performing live or recording.

A new era signifying the rise of the bands popularity and true
potential is with the completion of the 8 track independent record
release called “Simula…” Critically acclaimed and widely received, defying age boundaries, musical preferences. Featuring tracks like the melodramatic “Noon\Ngayon” and the infectious rock alternative groove and melodic vocals of “Kaba” propelled Uniqa’s musical reputation to new heights. Lyrically Uniqa’s songs are based on real personal experiences, feelings, frustrations and deep emotions. All songs written in tagalog. The winning formula of approach in
composition is what makes uniqa unique and interesting, wide range in notes and tone, classy and sophisticated yet have a bit of a “masa” appeal.

We encourage you to be mesmerized by the music that makes us what we are and what we are truly is Uniqa. Let the music speak for itself! \m/
